| Associations of red blood cell fatty acids with personality traits: 10-year follow-up in the Kibbutzim Family Study.
Higher RBC Total n-6 fatty acid levels were associated with lower Type-A personality scores. After adjustment for baseline personality levels, the associations between Total n-6 and hostility and between Total n-3 and hostility were attenuated. These findings support further investigation of the relationship between fatty acid biology and personality traits using study designs better suited to causal inference. |

| Anorectal fibrosis in 3 murine models of chronic intestinal fibrosis: a comparative analysis.
Under these standard protocols, the chronic cyclic DSS model produced the most prominent anorectal fibrotic remodeling, while TNBS and DNBS showed less severe anorectal changes despite comparable colonic fibrosis. These protocol-dependent differences may inform preclinical investigation of anorectal fibrosis and evaluation of anti-fibrotic therapeutic strategies. |
| Cancer risk with methotrexate-TNF antagonist combination therapy compared to TNF-antagonist monotherapy in IBD.
Combination anti-TNF and methotrexate therapy was not associated with an increased cancer risk compared to anti-TNF monotherapy in patients with IBD in our cohort. |
| Higher body mass index is associated with lower drug concentrations in patients with inflammatory bowel disease treated with ustekinumab but not vedolizumab.
This study demonstrated an inverse correlation between BMI and UST concentrations in patients with CD or patients with IBD on standard UST dosing, suggesting the need for closer TDM and dose adjustments to ensure optimal drug exposure in these patients with higher BMI. |
| Inflammatory bowel disease in the aging population.
Given that patients with IBD receiving long-term immunosuppression are at increased risk of infections, adherence to age-appropriate vaccination schedules is also recommended. A proactive and personalized approach to disease management has the potential to optimize quality of life for older adults with IBD. |
| Mast cell-derived IL-13 as a driver of Crohn disease-associated intestinal fibrosis.
IL-13 is critical for intestinal fibrosis in SHIP-deficient mice, and mast cells are a source of IL13 in Crohn disease-associated intestinal fibrosis. |
| Metabolome remodeling with reverse-engineered exclusive enteral nutrition in children with active Crohn's disease.
Metabolomic profiles for pediatric patients with CD changed broadly during RE-EEN, indicating that this therapy may modulate key systemic and gut-associated metabolic processes. The findings further suggest that the gut metabolic processes influenced by RE-EEN, and that contribute to clinical improvement, may differ from those impacted by commercial EEN diets. Further research is crucial to validate these findings, uncover causal relationships, and optimize dietary protocols to enhance therapeutic outcomes in CD. |
| Patients with Crohn's disease achieving transmural healing experience superior long-term outcomes compared with those with endoscopic or radiologic healing alone.
TH was associated with superior long-term outcomes compared with EH or RH alone. Future studies should focus on standardizing its definition and evaluate treat-to-target strategies. |
| Timing of biologic prophylaxis and postoperative recurrence in Crohn's disease: A real-life cohort study using propensity score weighting.
In half of patients, prophylactic biologic therapy was initiated more than 8 weeks after ileocolonic resection. Initiation of biologic prophylaxis beyond 12 weeks after surgery was associated with a significantly increased risk of ER. |

| Effect of postoperative synbiotics on bacterial infections after liver transplantation: A randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial.
Per-protocol analyses did not markedly change these results. In conclusion, postoperative synbiotic supplementation did not provide significant clinical outcome benefits in patients undergoing liver transplantation. |
| Long-term renal benefit of a biopsy-guided personalized calcineurin inhibitor-sparing regimen late after liver transplantation.
Sequential biopsies revealed no worsening of fibrosis or inflammation, and non-invasive measures corroborated these findings. In conclusion, svLbx-guided CNI reduction safely maintains kidney function and prevents graft injury late after LT, making it a viable strategy for long-term IS minimization. |

| Efficacy and Safety of Remimazolam versus Midazolam for Sedation during Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Tissue Acquisition in Patients with Solid Pancreatic Lesions.
Remimazolam was associated with faster recovery and reduced flumazenil use, suggesting improved efficiency and safety in post-procedural monitoring, along with decreased staff workload after EUS-TA. |
| ITGB4 Activates the Pentose Phosphate Pathway to Reduce the Sensitivity of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma to Gemcitabine.
ITGB4 reduces the sensitivity of PAAD cells to GEM by activating the PPP. This finding not only elucidates the mechanism of ITGB4 in PAAD chemo-resistance but also offers a theoretical basis for improving the efficacy of GEM treatment and developing targeted therapeutic strategies. |
| Outcomes of Surveillance Program for Individuals at High-Risk of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma.
A PDAC screening program for HRIs identified early stage PDAC in an important proportion of patients. While overall adherence rates are high, additional research is needed to identify barriers affecting patient adherence. |

| Accumulation of p62/sequestosome-1 in pancreatic cancer progression: association with inflammation and immune cell infiltration.
In mice, p62 and phosphorylated NFκB p65 followed a biphasic pattern, peaking in early lesions, decreasing in PanIN, and rising again in PDAC. These findings show that p62 accumulation is stage-dependent and is associated with inflammatory and immune changes during pancreatic cancer progression, suggesting a potential role in the transition to invasive PDAC. |
| Hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis subphenotypes and differential responses to low-molecular-weight heparin: analyses from a cohort and a randomized controlled trial.
Two distinct clinical subphenotypes of HTG-AP are identified with heterogeneous treatment responses to LMWH. |
| Neuromuscular biomarkers are associated with sarcopenia and physical performance in chronic pancreatitis: An integrative biomarker profiling study.
CP is associated with progressive sarcopenia along with NMJ degeneration, neurotrophic imbalance, inflammation, oxidative stress, and nutritional decline. These findings highlight the potential value of CAF22 and BDNF as biomarkers of functional impairment. |
| Outcomes of pancreatic cancer surveillance among high-risk individuals at a tertiary care academic center.
The results highlight the need for cascade genetic testing to identify asymptomatic relatives who carry an identified familial pathogenic variant that confers high pancreatic cancer risk. Further studies are needed to determine the relationship between non-malignant EUS findings and development of PDAC or HGD. |
